Rest is not a sign of weakness or laziness. In fact, rest is something that everyone should need to prioritize more. Athletes and people who train more than just basic everyday movement, know that there is too kind of rest. Passive and active. And both are needed. Our wicked world has made pushing and being productive 24/7 as something we need to strive for, while the statistics of chronic pain and mental health issues are skyrocketing. When we do not get enough of high quality rest, the oxidative stress, hormonal imbalances and inflammation are issues we are welcoming in to be a part of our every day reality.

If You struggle with your health and wellbeing on any plane, rest should be something to prioritize. Rest is one of the most important things for nervous system regulation, right next to nourishment, hydration, body awareness and control, safe relationships and economics.

Rest is and should be as important piece of self-care as physical, and mental training or taking care of your hygiene. It's time to trash that belief that rest is a waste of time. Now, Let's chat!
